Located in Madaba (Jordan), "Bayt Illiqa" Center (Arsenale dell’Incontro) is a charitable and inclusive day center, founded to be a sign of peace and dialouge.
It offers free educational, therapeutic, and social services to people with mental and/or physical disabilities, regardless of nationality, social background or religion. Programs include educational activities, vocational training, early intervention, and various therapies such as speech, physical, occupational, psychomotricity, and sensory motor. The center also provides skills training for parents and hosts inclusive programs.
It offers services based on a community-oriented approach, with the goal of supporting the inclusion of people with disabilities into broader society. Its mission is to rebuild a supportive social fabric around the most vulnerable, fostering a community where there is no separation between those who offer support and those who receive it. In this space, encounters are genuine and help break down barriers and prejudices, promoting mutual respect and a new culture of inclusion.
To support this vision, the organization encourages the development of a volunteer network, providing appropriate training. It also organizes training courses, cultural events and recreational activities for people with disabilities, their families, and volunteers, to facilitate meaningful interaction and dialogue among all members of society
VISION
Our vision is a future free from global poverty and hunger, achieved through collaborative action and programs built on justice and sustainable development. We provide genuine solidarity to those in need, empowering youth to forge pathways to lasting peace.

MISSION
Our mission is to create a society where people with disabilities, especially those from needy backgrounds, are respected, included, and empowered.
We achieve this by:
- Serving Individuals: providing targeted support to Christians and Muslims with disabilities, prioritizing those most in need.
- Promoting Rights: educating the community about the rights of people with disabilities, ensuring their acceptance, respect, and eliminating neglect.
- Fostering Independence: highlighting the abilities of individuals with disabilities and supporting their journey towards self-reliance and active community participation.
- Building Community: welcoming young people and families-from the local community and beyond- as volunteers, cultivating their desire to help others and contribute to building a more inclusive society.
MESSAGE
- Working together for equality, justice and peace in the world: the power of a unified group to achieve goals that seem impossible for an individual.
- Turning “I” into “Us”: moving from self-interest to a community-focused mindset.
- Shared worries: in a strong community, no one faces their struggles alone.
- Diversity as a strength: differences enrich life rather than dividing it.
- Being happy of making someone else happy: doing something kind or thoughtful for someone else makes you feel realized too.
- Committing to peace: peace building starts from our personal choices.
