“Bayt Illiqa” Center currently hosts up to 270 people with disabilities along with their families: 45 are engaged in daily educational programs, 60 attend the vocational training program and 165 are involved in the one-on-one lessons and socializing activities. Additionally, 200 beneficiaries are in the waiting list and the most in need between them are followed up through consulting programs and courses.
The center’s activities are offered by a 28-person multidisciplinary team, composed of an educational coordinator, a psychological supervisor, a vocational training supervisor, special education educators, speech therapists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and vocational trainers in agriculture and mosaic. The team also includes a safety officer and essential auxiliary staff.
This core team is further supported by dedicated volunteers and parents of beneficiaries. They contribute their time and expertise, working closely with SERMIG members and the staff to enhance the services provided.
Specialized educational programs for children and adolescents (6–18), focusing on developing independence, communication, and cognitive, language, motor, sensory, and social skills. Our class groups are led by a specialist and assistant to help students with behavior modification and vocational training preparation.
Individual supportive sessions, which target beneficiaries aged 0-18 and include educational path, occupational therapy, speech therapy, physiotherapy, psychomotricity, sensory motor and early intervention program
One-on-one tutoring for children and adolescents in mainstream schools who are experiencing learning difficulties, delivering targeted intervention where it's needed most.
Comprehensive skills program for adults over 18. Vocational training is available in agriculture, mosaic, cooking, art, sewing, handicrafts, recycling, in addition to socializing and sports paths.
Parenting workshops and counseling services for families raising children with disabilities. Through a mix of classes and individual sessions, we provide targeted training on how to best navigate challenges and support your child's development.
Recreational and socializing activities for the beneficiaries together with their families, to help them overcome social isolation and shame, They maximize their internal assets and develop programs for sharing insights with others encountering similar challenges.
Inclusive education training for teachers and educators on creating supportive and accessible learning environments for students with disabilities.
Inclusive paths for schools, associations, and youth groups designed to build bridges and foster dialogue between different social groups, with a special emphasis on integrating people with disabilities. Our projects create opportunities for understanding and social cohesion within the community.
